Vix Swimwear is the most popular Brazilian swimsuit brand with a roster of celebrity clients & beach lovers. Since 1998, Vix swimwear's sophistication and style has won over fashionistas from all over the world. Vix luxury bikinis and chic cover ups are the creation of designer Paula Hermanny, who grew up in the beaches of Brazil. Hermanny spent her days as a young girl in her swimsuit, and upon moving to the California in the early 90s, saw a void in the US market for chic fashion swimwear. The Vix theme focuses on stylish yet functional swimsuits for women of all ages. The name ViX, a derivative of Paula’s hometown Vitoria, Brazil, started with a small capsule collection of brazilian-cut bikinis.
Hermanny travels all over the world to find inspiration in exotic beach destinations for her new collections. Vix Swimwear 2009 collection exemplifies the luxury detailing and sophisticated designs that made Vix coveted over ten years ago. Whether it be elaborate embroidery, glamorous gems, luxurious leather or simple gold rings the handmade feel of each detail adds the perfect finishing touch to each swimsuit. The characteristic of the Vix fit and style is in the fabric, soft to the touch and integral in the flawless fit of each piece.
The Vix 2009 Swimwear collection is made with a special lycra blend, which is combined with Hermanny’s use of accessories, bold prints, and fabrics to create the “perfect swimsuit”. With a focus on fit and function, each ViX swimwear is sold separately in order to create an ideal combination for every body type.
Vix has now become a global brand of fashionable swimwear and resortwear with chic bikinis, dress coverups, caftans, and one piece swimsuits. Designer Hermanny has expanded her market with two new lines, Sofia and Hermanny. Vix swimsuits have been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, InStyle, People, and Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Edition.
