This year’s Billboard Music Awards was an entertaining production with celebrities wearing some amazing outfits. Of course, we scouted out our favorite looks to bring them straight to you. Enjoy the recap, folks.
We have to start with Carrie Underwood. Walking down the red carpet with hubby Mike Fisher, she wore the ultimate princess gown without looking anywhere near cheesy. The lilac gown was made with tool fabric and looked amazing against her blonde hair. Not only was her performance completely breath-taking (for her, and for us!), but she just looked gorgeous during the entire show. She wore a long, red, one-shoulder gown that draped perfectly in all the right places. We love you, Carrie!
Though we normally praise the starlets for their great style, we decided to give Usher a shout out for his turquoise suit that was very brave and perfect for spring. This outfit could have gone very wrong, but he clearly got the memo: bright colors are in! The suit was brilliantly paired with dark blue denim shirt. Normally we’d cringe at the mention of a denim top, but we have to admit the whole ensemble looks good.
Taylor Swift looked very mature in her long red gown and lace top with boning detail. She straightened her hair which was a breath of fresh hair, despite our love for the curls. She stole the night when she won the Woman of the Year award. Congrats, Taylor!
We were happy to see Brandy make an appearance on the red carpet. We were even happier to catch her wearing fringe! She wore a taupe dress with a very sexy plunging neckline and silver hardware detailing. The color looked amazing against her skin and she rocked that afro like nobody’s business. She also paired it with great accessories and the perfect shoes. Job well done!
We were inappropriately drooling over Justin Bieber and his hair style at the event. He also had a very impressive performance singing his newest hit ‘Boyfriend.’ The performance had an amazing dance routine that he and his backup dancers mastered. The kid did not sound out of breath once during the whole performance. We don’t know how you did it, Biebs! We loved his cool red carpet look as he rocked the ‘push up sleeves’ look with his hoodie.
LMFAO were their regular outlandish selves. Skyblu was wearing a sparkly suit that was red and black and Redfoo was wearing tight pants with lips and words like, “SEXY,” all over them and a cut up shirt with zebras and other insanities. These dudes are the wildest group in Hollywood right now and everyone seems to love them. They went home with SIX awards including: Top Digital Song, Top Pop Song, Top Dance Song, Top Rap Song, Top Hot 100 Song And Top Duo Group.
John Legend has to be mentioned next with his very chill suit paired with grey kicks. The jacket was great with black trim about the neck and he made sure to wear his large frame glasses to complete the outfit. He sang beautifully during his on-stage performance and worked our heart with his piano skills.
Jordin Sparks looked ravishing during her tribute to WhitneyHouston with John Legend on the keyboard. She color blocked her outfit with a fitted, black corset top and a long flowing royal blue skirt. She looked very classy but still stood out while singing the iconic ‘I Will Always Love You.’ On the red carpet she wore a lace dress with quarter-sleeves that made her look very feminine and spring-ready.
