Ask me who won Best Director during the 2013 Oscars and I can’t tell you. Ask me what starlet was wearing the most fabulous long dress on the red carpet and I can name quite a few. Although I have to say there were a number of snooze-fest gowns, celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek and Stacy Keibler did not disappoint.

E! New’s fashion squad were not at all impressed by Salma Hayek’s red carpet gown, mostly because of her lack of cleavage. On the contrary, I thought it was a great look for her. Instead of your eyes going straight to her goodies, you can actually appreciate her hourglass silhouette and model face. I think the woman is a real life goddess without flaws, so she could also be wearing a potato sack and I would probably still add her to my best dressed list. What drew me to her dress was the completely amazing gold embroidery on the collar, cascading down her chest. If I could wear that to our next staff meeting, you better believe I’d be on that. What a show stopper. My only wish was that the dress was white, but for Salma I’ll settle for black.

Stacy Keibler has been George Clooney’s arm candy for the past couple of award shows. Lucky him because she has impeccable style. She was an obvious choice for me with her sequined wonder. It fit her like a second skin and I thank the fashion lords for the black belted detail. Without that detail your eyes wouldn’t get a break, and even though sequins are beautiful, sometimes you can go too far with them. I also love the high neckline. I think it is one of the most flattering cuts in fashion right now. It’s great proof that you don’t need to show a lot of skin to be sexy. Between her hair style and her glitzy accessories, she truly played the part of a starlet.

For my last choice I’ll be very honest: I am not a huge fan of Anne Hathaway. I don’t know what it is about her but I’m almost always underwhelmed by her presence. But my feelings changed when I saw her on the 2013 Oscar’s red carpet in her sleek, long gown. She completely took my breathe away in that Versace masterpiece. Yes, it would have been 100 percent on point if she had long, luxurious hair, but I’ll let that go this time. For one thing, it was my favorite neckline once again. Do I smell a trend? I think yes. The soft shade is also a great way to welcome the spring season. I was even happier when she turned around, baring her dress’ criss-cross detail. I love a little fashion surprise.
