Wouldn’t it be nice to be a bird and migrate someplace warm for the winter? Some of you may do just that, or, if you’re lucky, you live in a city where you feel the warmth most of the year. (So jealous!) It may only be the start of November and not quite cold enough for wintertime, but it’s never too early to dream about how to wear your favorite swimsuit in the colder part of the year. Our first idea: Go somewhere warm!
To help out, we’ve put together a list of three special locales that are perfect this time of year and just the right swimwear options for each one:
1. Rio de Janeiro. The Southern hemisphere, especially sunny and beautiful Rio, is clearly a good option for all of us Northern hemisphere inhabitants as summertime is just around the corner there. Can you guess the swim style suggestion here? Brazilian of course! Take a bite out of Bendito Key Lime Pie by Agua Bendita Swimwear for this vacation. With trendy ruffles, floral print and the appropriate cut on bottom, you’ll fit right in.
2. Bora Bora. This French Polynesian hot-spot boasts some of the bluest oceans and most amazing beaches in the world. (Fun fact: Bora Bora was the filming location for the recent movie “Couples Retreat.”) For this island adventure, we recommend a funky, tropical look to blend in with the remarkable views. Try the Bardot Ruffles Bikini by Vix Swimwear 2010. The vibrant green and purple combination makes for a brilliant Bora Bora look.
3. Malibu. For you United States locals, you’ll never be disappointed with Southern California, particularly Malibu’s 20+ miles of coastline. The winter’s daytime temperatures average in the high 60s, so we say go for a relaxed style that covers a little more skin. How about the light and airy Pinkxanthium One-Piece Swimsuit by Maaji Swimwear’s 2010 line? Casual, cool and easy to wear, it’s California-ready.
Whichever your warm winter destination of choice, you definitely can’t go wrong in a great piece of designer swimwear. We’re visualizing the sunny skies, hearing the waves crashing in, and feeling our feet in the sand already!
