The holidays are arriving and I’m 100% sure that I’m not the only psycho that has already begun early Christmas shopping. I don’t know how it is in your city, but the malls in Miami are so unforgiving during the holiday season. I literally spend 1 hour in the parking garage, inching my way to a spot on the 6th floor. Over the years I’ve learned to do my makeup during that time. (Don’t tell the officials!) When I finally park, I can’t dare celebrate. My evil waiting game has just begun due to long store lines and food court lines. The food court lines especially upset me. Sometimes I just want to scream, “I’m too skinny to wait for nourishment!!!”
This year, I’ve finally entered the 21st century and embraced online Christmas shopping. I’m embarrassed to admit that I have never done this before. But in my defense, now that I work for an online company, I see the light and know that it’s the only stress-free way.
I wish Christmas shopping was as easy as buying my dog that cute hoodie I’ve been dying to see him in and calling it a day. Naturally, my list of gift giving is much longer than that. Don’t get me wrong – I love it! It’s just important to stay organized, and sometimes it’s easier to give similar gifts to similar people. My sisters, for example, will both be receiving a piece of Lolindo jewelry. It’s a great price (and so darn cute), making it affordable for me to buy them other gifts. You better not spill the beans to them! They don’t know what sister-santa is getting them yet.
My mom is more of a special gift receiver in my book. I’m sure many of you feel the same! I always splurge for that woman on Christmas. I mean, she birthed me for crying out loud. Also, she feeds me more often than I feed myself. For that, I am eternally grateful and choose a fancy monokini for her Christmas present. My mom isn’t like most moms. She’s a pretty sexy lady if I do say so myself. The Sweet Abstract monokini by SABZ Swimwear would be lucky to have her.
Last but not least, my bestie can never go un-gifted. I like to give my friend’s presents that they can wear constantly so that every time they wear it I can say, “I got you that!” What can I say, I like to take credit for my fantastic gift-giving abilities. Therefore, the bestie gets the glorious Trica Noir Romper in black…or white…I haven’t decided yet. I think it’s the perfect piece for her to where to work and then happy hour, or to the mall on a Saturday while she’s doing her hideous Christmas shopping. You gotta look good always, even when you’re doing dirty work.
Good luck this holiday season, and let me know what you’ll be getting your loved ones!
