There’s no shortage of Jennifer Lawrence appearances throughout red carpets, television interviews, and magazine shorts due to the recent craze of the Hunger Games. Jennifer’s look varies so much from shoot to shoot, and we love how versatile her style can be. However, our friends over at Fashionista.com noticed something interesting with Jennifer’s magazine photoshoots; there seems to be an influx of bodysuits in Jennifer’s portfolio. Now, we’re not talking about your grandma’s bodysuits, we’re talking about retro and vintage inspired, luxuriously embellished, and even ridiculously sexy bodysuits. Forgive us for always thinking about swimwear, but this one we just can’t avoid, these bodysuits were made to inspire swimwear, or perhaps they were inspired by swimwear.
Either way, we’re adoring Jennifer’s various styles and looks with these three photoshoots from the past year. Jennifer wears a dazzling bodysuits encrusted with jewels and dons some sultry hair and makeup in the April 2012 issue of Interview Germany. She sports a vintage printed “romper”, that looks an awful lot like a bodysuit to us, paired with a delicate lace brazier in the May 2011 issue of GQ. And Miss Katniss shows off her feminine silhouette in an eagerly embellished bodysuit that screams spring with a pale pink and mint green mixture, a floral print, and even a cat-eye with her makeup in the April 2012 issue of Glamour UK. What do all three of these bodysuit styles have in common? (Besides looking bodaciously amazing on Jennifer Lawrence and her feminine silhouette) They all have the perfect ‘balconet’ neckline and a belted waist to enhance those womanly curves.
To create our own fierce silhouette and exude confidence with our feminine physique, we’re packing the Halle Belted One Piece in our weekender bag. This one piece swimsuit from Orchid Label features a bandeau style top with the perfect dip in the center of the bustline, just like Katniss’s ‘catsuits’. The smokey grey color exudes a vintage feel and looks great adorned with gold jewelry. A dipped back features a keyhole cut out and ties at the back for the perfect fit. A removable strap at the neck allows for extra support when needed and is the perfect option for avoid neckline tanning disasters. And the best part of this suit’s silhouette? The belt, of course! A belt at the waist is embellished with the perfect amount of gold hardware detailing and cinches in your waist for an irresistible vision.
