Sunday night celebrities and faux celebrities invaded the city of angels for the annual BET Awards. The award show was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, with a variety of singers, actresses, TV and media personalities strutting the red carpet. Chris Brown was the big award winner of the night, winning in five categories, including male R&B artist and video of the year. However, the big style award winner definitely went to R&B singer Kelly Rowland.
The singer graced the red carpet in a fuchsia colored Notte by Marchesa dress from their fall 2010 collection. The sleeveless dress featured streaming ruffles down the front and a bright color that popped in the Los Angeles sun. Ruffles, as well as the stunning fuchsia color, have been huge on red carpets and appearances all throughout Hollywood. Both details give a girly yet sexy feel to any outfit. And while we love seeing them on the red carpet, we get even more excited seeing these trends translated to swimwear. So if you’re headed to the beach this summer, we have the perfect option if your obsessed with ruffles (like us!).
If you are feeling girly and want to add ruffles to your swim wardrobe, we suggest the Rodeo Ruffle Dress by L*Space Swimwear. This flirty cover-up has a strapless top, ruffle details along the torso that flare down to the skirt, and sits mid-thigh. The ruffle details add something special to an everyday cover-up.
