The response to L*Space Swimwear’s new brand, MAIO Swim, has been amazing. The line is due to hit our shelves in December, but there is already a huge buzz going on for the collection!
The MAIO Swim lover (there seem to be more than we thought!) wants a feminine, luxurious feel in her fabrics paired with a figure flattering style. Though the fit of the collection is identical to L*Space in that each style will accent your positive attributes, the silhouettes look like they are from another mother. The high waisted bikini bottoms and underwire bandeau tops channel the pin up girl you have always imagined yourself to be, as they are inspired by classic Esther Williams films of the 1950’s. The one piece swimsuits have fashion-forward prints that I just can’t get over. A perfect example is the above image of the Madonna one piece, a swimsuit that exudes class it’s the grey color scheme and black piping.
Monica Wise tells her fans that she created this line for the woman who is in-between the skimpy cut-out phase and the matronly one piece phase. Below is their overwhelming response of excitement and appreciation, proving to us here at Orchid Boutique that we aren’t the only people who live and breathe swimwear!
“The famous Diana Vreeland said the bikini was “biggest thing since the atom bomb”. I love –love the one piece swimsuits, because they don’t need to be restricted to beach or pool use only. You can pair it with a long or mini skirt, tons of accessories and even belt it. Personally one pieces give me more confidence. I always look for a clean design and also the color/print are a major factor for me!! I would pair the Maio with a hat and palazzo pants ” – Victoria Mateos Misakian
“Love it!!! I feel like I may be outgrowing bikinis myself, and this one is just gorgeous. I love a great print, and this one is a fantastic print. AND it’s proof that the right cut can make a one-piece just as saucy (if not more so) than a bikini.” – Cheryl Sorg de Mollerat
“Both the print and the design of a one piece can make or break it. I love a good one piece that is sexy without being skanky, classy without being too conservative, and a print that’s funky and flattering without being too wacky. I love this suit how it has a full coverage front with a deeper neck for cleavage but also an open back without it being too low and skanky! Bravo Monica on your new and upcoming one piece line!! Looks like it’s going to make lots if ladies feel beautiful and young again! =) XOXO” – Michele LaPorte
“Oh my gosh, you just described me!!! I’m in Maui, I’m 28, but I’m also a mom… I surf and wanna look cute, but I don’t want a constant wedgie like the girls surfing Acaicia! I want a FUNCTIONAL, fashionable, cute, flirty suit that looks just as good on a board as it does on the beach! Please let me rep this suit so I can be the envy of all the girls who can’t eat a sandwich in their suit without the worry they will look too bloated! =)” – Chelsea Smith
“A one piece is far from un sexy. Marilyn Monroe proves this. Because a good design can enhance an hour glass figure, leaves more to ones imagination, and the small peek a boo details, like a dropped back, or triangle top can draw anyones attention to all the right places : ) The best part is your ability to jump off a diving board without your bottoms and top coming off, your ability to dance at a vegas pool and sip on a coctail without worrying about adjusting your low top and bottoms, and you don’t have to worry about those crazy people who like to pull at your strings for fun. Its classy, its safe, its perfect for every women’s body type, its timeless!” – Melody Menard
