New Years Eve – Miami Events

As a Miami local, I literally hide from the city during those poppin’ nights that everyone and their mom wants to go to the club: Memorial Day weekend, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, etc. But for New Years Eve I make an exception. It’s something about the glitter hats, fireworks and fancy dresses that push to me where the party is. I did a little soul searching (fine, I googled it) to tell you about some Miami events that will make your New Years Eve like an E! Entertainment special.

If you are a die-hard South Beach lover, I’d recommend spending your special night at Coco de Ville at The Perry Hotel. From 9PM until 2AM they’ll be providing a premium open bar. Say what?! Besides the free booze, I love this place because of it’s intimate vibe. It’s a sizable lounge so you’ll never lose your bestie in the crowd… unless she finds a cute Austrian to distract herself with. Been there, honey!

Are you a big fan of Mr. World Wide himself? If so, it looks like he will be performing live on New Years Eve. Start your night off shaking what your momma gave you during the Pitbull concert at the American Airlines Arena. The festivities start at 9PM so it looks like you may be counting down to midnight with him. If you’re not bilingual, you might want to pull out that Rosetta Stone!

If you’re like me, a fireworks lover, you’ll find your special light show at Bayfront Park this year. It goes on from 8PM to midnight, with a countdown and balloon drop at the most anticipated hour. There will also be a dance party and numerous chances to win crazy awesome prizes. Bring the family to this one – it’s free!

Feeling mysterious? It looks like there is going to be a masquerade ball in the grove from 10PM-3AM. Anytime I can wear something sparkly on my face it’s hard to get me interested in something else. Enjoy open bar all night at this fancy event. Friendly tip: don’t get too caught up in a conversation with a gentleman until his mask comes off.

Enjoy your New Years Eve to the fullest. Have fun, but more importantly, be careful. Make sure to make a good story out of your night so you can give me all of the juicy details.
