We’re glad to hear that Rooney Mara has decided to keep some of her piercings from her latest movie The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, not because we have some huge love of piercings but rather because that gives us hope for a sequel. This American actress isn’t so-called ‘new’ to the scene but this latest role in a huge feature film has certainly launched her career into the ‘limelight’. Rooney had a unique upbringing in a family full of professional football, her father Timothy was an executive to the New York Giants and her Grandfather Art was the founder of the Pittsburgh Steelers franchise.
Rooney’s Golden Globe gown certainly made our best dressed list and matched her straight-edge look with dark, sleeked back locks. Rooney’s dress featured a fit-to-flare silhouette with a unique added ruffle at the skirt’s hem. Choosing an all black dress for the red carpet can be a risk, but this particular dress was a risk that paid off for Rooney. A unique bodice constructed of two fabric panels tracing over her shoulders with vertical straps to connect them gives such an edgy feel without taking away the glamour for the red carpet.
An eerily similar design detail of vertical straps featured on the Noir Blockade one piece by Sabz Luxury is a suit we see fitting Rooney’s style perfectly. This strapless style one piece comes with soft built-in cups and cut-outs at the side. A ring detail at the hip adds a touch of casual to the look. This unique one piece swimsuit provides moderate coverage at the rear for a flattering fit. This straight-lined look is the perfect way to bring a little edge to the beach.
