I’m sure that after all of that Holiday turkey and pumpkin pie you’re wondering how you will ever get your body back into bikini shape. For starters, don’t even think about rewarding yourself with a trip to the plastic surgeons table as a Christmas Gift. This year try to focus on “self”, meaning mind, body and spirit. This is the most organic way to lose weight and feel better about you. Consider these a few healthy tips that will kick start your motivational drive to a healthier and happier body.
Forget about the guilt – The first thing that all of us ladies need to remember is that sharing food with family and friends is not something we should feel guilty about. Celebrating and being thankful for loved ones around a full plate of food is exactly what you should be doing during the Holidays. <3
Remember the mood boost – Not everyone wakes up in the morning excited to work out. It’s important to remember that a good morning workout not only burns more fat, but it also gives you a boost of energy that is more powerful than a cup of coffee. Your day will feel increasingly more productive which will carry over the motivation to want to add more exercise into your daily routine.
Every minute counts – All it takes is 30 minutes of cardio everyday to really see a difference in your body. These 30 minutes can be achieved in more ways than just running. Try taking a zumba class or even a short walk in the park. Once you build up your stamina to maintain a steady heartbeat for 30 minutes, it’s time to increase your workout intensity.
Have some coffee – A cup of coffee before your workout will improve your aerobic performance and help you burn more calories.
Find some workout buddies – You don’t have to do it alone! Losing weight should not feel like a chore. It’s perfectly fine to enjoy this workout time with friends <3
Drink Water – A gallon a day! Do it!
Don’t kill yourself – You should be losing weight in order to make yourself look and feel better. The more you stress about “the numbers” or what people think the harder it will be to shed the pounds. Try not to make weight loss about the pounds. Instead focus your achievements on the way your body feels.
Have fun – A happy mind, body and spirit is healthy. <3
